BCHCPA is a Black-led not-for-profit organization consisting of a diverse group of black Canadian healthcare professionals rooted in the communities they serve. Established in 2020, it is committed to the advancement of Black healthcare professionals and their communities, and to more inclusive and sustainable healthcare.

BCHCPA is focused on health promotion and advocacy, providing education and awareness of limitations in diversity and inclusion within the healthcare system; and creating a network of black healthcare professionals empowered with the knowledge to influence change.
CONSULTING AND ADVOCACY
Our goal is to serve as an advocate for Black Healthcare Professionals and the community.
Bring awareness to systemic racism in institutions with respect to policies, procedures, and practices that adversely affect Black Canadians.
Provide consulting services to educational institutions and healthcare organizations on building an inclusive and diverse healthcare system for the Black healthcare professionals.
Provide community outreach services to the community. Our goal is to identify the community needs, share resources, provide information and assist individuals with navigating the healthcare system and serve as an advocate.

EDUCATION AND RESOURCES
Mobilize human and financial resources to create lasting change in the lives of Black Healthcare Professionals, children, families, and communities.
Provide education and information around health issues that impact Black Canadians.
Offer volunteer opportunities with a focus on health promotion and health literacy.
Provide career and employment opportunities through posting, information sharing, and networking.
RESEARCH
Develop and promote research and strong partnerships to build innovative solutions to improve Black health and wellness. Fund research and innovation specific to improving the health of black Canadians. Collect data specific to black health and professionals with the purpose to identify trends and explore solutions.
